Hi, welcome and thanks for reading by!
In the end it’s all temporary, right? So, for some reason I’m using the pseudonym of Meanwhile for my posts – for the moment, at any rate.
For many years I’ve been deeply immersed in the questions of what is happening on our curious blue speck and why – particularly why. Why, for example, is everything speeding up? And if it’s all getting better then why is it getting worse? Why do so many people want to run away into a selective past? What happened to the path? I couldn’t find any sensible explanations. Something was going on and someone had to know something. Turns out there is and they do.
They say keep digging and sooner or later you have to hit something. I did and eventually uncovered what seemed a seam of golden knowledge – so much so that I spent a decade or so laying it out for the lay person in a book with the fishy website title (currently awaiting publication, details to follow).
The very idea that we might not be adrift in a godless universe, but actually on an upward arc after millennia of doing the opposite was shocking and exciting to contemplate, not to mention a great relief. From the many talks and workshops I have given on the subject it is clear there is a widespread interest in understanding the world in a newly ancient way that makes uplifting sense. This is great because, although things are eventually going to get better there’s a lot of work to do, as we are beginning to see.
Casting an often wry eye over our bizarre times from this grand perspective is likely what I shall be doing in upcoming posts. I hope they are entertaining, informative and thought-provoking, though not necessarily in that order.
